Angel Quilted Satin Cotton Duvet

Made from fine Egyptian satin cotton, the Angel Quilted Bedcover takes its inspiration from the angels found in Egypt’s Coptic artistic tradition. The design is worked entirely through quilting, with two large-scale angels and their decorative medallions appearing almost as drawings across the surface of the fabric. The tonal stitching keeps the imagery subtle: from a distance, the bedcover reads as a beautifully simple expanse of colour; up close, the details of the angels, wings and geometric forms gradually reveal themselves. A fine striped cotton poplin border provides a playful contrast to the softness and sheen of the satin cotton. Softly padded and generously proportioned, it is designed as a light extra layer over the bed, bringing texture without feeling heavy. The monochrome blue gives it a fresh, contemporary feel while allowing the historic motif to remain at the heart of the design.
