Crafted from 100% linen, the process begins by carefully pulling individual threads from the fabric, one at a time, to create the delicate open lattice. The remaining threads are then worked by hand to hold the structure in place, before tiny geometric flowers are embroidered across the lattice in rich shades of red and pink. The contrast between the open linen and dense coloured stitches gives the design its distinctive texture and rhythm. Sold as a set of two, the colours are reversed from one napkin to the other — a small detail that makes the pair feel considered without being overly formal.
