The Gems Patchwork Mirror takes its inspiration from ancient Coptic textiles, where bold geometry, unexpected colour combinations and intricate pattern come together with a remarkably modern sensibility. The textile surround is created from naturally dyed linen, cut and hand-sewn into a composition of circles, squares and jewel-like geometric forms. Each piece is meticulously assembled by expert Khayameya artisans in Old Cairo, drawing on generations of skill in appliqué and textile work. The soft greens, dusty pinks, ochres and deep browns give the mirror a rich but quietly harmonious palette.
